Winners in our 2008 Technical Publications, Art, and Online Communication Competition will be honored at the 36th Annual STC Chicago Awards Banquet on Wednesday, March 12, 2008. Join us for this special community celebration! You’ll have an opportunity to view the winning entries before dinner and meet this year’s award-winners in person.
If you’ve never attended the STC Chicago Awards Banquet before, you should consider attending this year. You’ll have a chance to meet some of the most talented technical communication professionals in the Chicago metropolitan area and beyond, congratulate the winners in person, and discuss the leading-edge techniques used to produce this year’s outstanding entries.
This year's banquet will be at Francesca's Amici in downtown Elmhurst. Parking is free in the lot across the street from the restaurant, and the restaurant is within walking distance of the Elmhurst Metra station. A four-course dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., with check-in and viewing of winning entries starting at 5:30 p.m. The awards ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Groups of up to six can register at a group rate of $200. Email program@stc-chicago.org to request a Group Rate Form, which must be postmarked by February 28 to qualify for the special rate.
Registration deadline: 8 p.m. Monday, March 3. Please note that online registration is now closed. You must register at the door and pay by cash or check.
For secure, prepaid online registration, the rates are:
- $40 for Chicago Chapter members (including student members of STC who select the chapter as one of their STC communities)
- $50 for non-members

After the March 3rd deadline, you must register at the door and must pay by cash or check only. Meals are ordered in advance, so we cannot guarantee dinner for walk-in registrants. The rates for registration at the door are:

- $60 for non-members
